RCM Trumpet Repertoire Preparatory Level

The first repertoire book in The Royal Conservatory's Trumpet Series, 2013 Edition, designed to take players from beginner to advanced levels with a singing approach to trumpet playing.

Early-level folk songs, transcriptions, and arrangements of well-known pieces help build tone and steady air flow, laying the groundwork for the Baroque, Classical, and 19th- to 21st-century repertoire at later levels. Selections include "The Barley Break," "Polly Wolly Doodle," and "Chiapanecas."

Special attention is paid to range, dynamics, and articulation.

Recordings are included with the book.
